Good progress on the Filey job this week.

Floor laid, electrics first fixed, plastering is finished and brickwork completed in three days, and next week we’ll fit the window and finish the internal joinery. Then we’re all done ✔️

It’s not just garage conversions this time! We’ve been in Hull carrying out the first stages of this kitchen extension project.

This build involves extending an existing extension to create a much larger kitchen space, complete with bi-fold doors, a large skylight, and a stylish new modern kitchen.

So far, we’ve excavated the foundations and poured the concrete. The floor has now been insulated and laid, and this week the brickwork has been progressing well.

If the weather stays on our side, we’re hoping to have the brickwork completed by the end of the week, ready for the roof to go on and the extension to be made watertight next week

📍 York – Garage Conversion

Another garage conversion completed to the stage requested by the customer, who’ll now be taking care of the remaining work himself.

Our work included installing an insulated floating floor, removing the garage door and replacing it with a new brick wall, stone sill, and window. At the rear of the property, we removed a section of brickwork, fitted new stone sills and heads, and installed a new window. We also created access into the new living space by opening up part of the kitchen-to-garage wall.

A great transformation with the space now ready for the next stage.

Wetherby job frontage complete.

This one was a tricky one as we were not just bricking up where the old garage door was but the old gate through to the rear too. With the courses not lining through from the garage to the existing porch it created a challenge to make it look right but we got there in the end! As one job ends, another 1 begins….or 3!

Three garage-to-home office conversions are now first fixed, boarded, and ready for plastering this weekend and early next week.
