Our rotating base is a popular addition with customers, giving you the flexibility to turn your summerhouse to follow the sun, find a little shade or simply enjoy a different view of your garden throughout the day.

The rotating base can be installed quickly and with minimal disruption to your garden. Once in place, the mechanism is neatly concealed beneath timber skirting, painted to match your chosen summerhouse colour.

🚫 "I'll need planning permission for a summerhouse."

✅ Not usually true. Most garden buildings, including summerhouses, fall under permitted development rights, meaning you can build without applying for planning permission.

There are a few things that can affect this, though:
📏 Height — buildings over 2.5m need to sit at least 2m from your boundary
📐 Size — there are limits on how much of your garden can be covered by outbuildings
🏡 Property type — flats, maisonettes and listed buildings don't have these rights, so planning permission is usually required
