⚡ 5 Workplace EV Charger Installations This Week — Blackburn, Manchester & Thornton-Cleveleys ⚡

A busy week for the team — 5 Ohme Home Pro Tethered EV chargers installed for businesses across the North West, all funded through the Government's Workplace Charging Scheme:

📍 2 x Blackburn
📍 1 x Manchester
📍 2 x Thornton-Cleveleys — right on our own doorstep

Workplace EV charging is fast becoming one of the biggest areas of our business, and it's easy to see why — businesses with staff or fleet parking can currently claim up to £500 per charging socket, up to 40 sockets, worth up to £20,000, covering up to 75% of the full installation cost. We handle the entire grant application process from start to finish, so there's no paperwork burden on the business at all.

Why we spec Ohme Home Pro Tethered for workplace installations:

🔌 7.4kW fast charging — ready to go, tethered cable included, no separate cable needed
📱 App controlled — full visibility and control over charging sessions
☀️ Solar-aware charging — makes use of on-site solar generation where available
💰 Smart tariff switching — automatic cheapest-rate charging
🏆 3 year warranty
✅ OZEV registered installation

If your business has parking for staff or company vehicles, you're likely eligible for this funding — and the scheme is confirmed to run until 31st March 2027, though funding won't last forever.

We're currently booking workplace charger installations across Blackburn, Manchester, Preston, Lytham St Annes, Blackpool and the wider North West.

Choosing a commercial electrician isn’t something you do on a whim—your reviews should tell you who’s competent, compliant, and reliable when it matters. In our latest piece, we break down what “good” feedback actually means: qualifications, industry standards, tidy workmanship, and clear aftercare, not just vague promises. Whether you’re managing a property in the North West or planning a safe, efficient home rewire on the Fylde Coast, this is how to spot contractors who deliver. Worth a read if you want certainty, not guesswork.

⚡ Ohme Home Pro EV Charger — Was £1,049. Now £999, Fully Installed. ⚡

No hidden costs. No surprises. No small print. 😄

The Ohme Home Pro has become our most popular EV charger by far — and because we're now buying them in volume directly from our supplier, we're able to pass that saving straight on to you. £999 fully installed, down from £1,049.

This price is tied to the volume we're currently installing — if demand drops, so does our buying power, and the price goes back up. While it's here, it's genuinely the best value smart charger on the market in the North West.

🔌 Smart solar-aware charging — automatically charges your car when your solar panels are generating
📱 App controlled — schedule, monitor and manage from your phone
💰 Intelligent tariff switching — automatic cheapest overnight rates
⚡ 7.4kW fast home charging — fully charge most EVs overnight
🏆 3 year warranty
✅ OZEV registered installation

£1,049 £999 fully installed — while our current supplier pricing lasts.

⚡🌞🎉 Full House Rewire + AlphaESS Solar & Battery Storage + FREE Ohme Home Pro EV Charger — Lytham St Annes 🎉🌞⚡

Another big one completed — a full rewire, AlphaESS solar and battery storage installation, and a FREE Ohme Home Pro EV charger, all on a large detached property in Lytham St Annes.

This job covered the full package: a complete rewire from scratch, AlphaESS inverter and battery storage, solar PV, and — because it qualified under our current bundle offer — a completely free Ohme Home Pro EV charger thrown in as part of the job. And because a full rewire means chasing walls and disturbing plaster, we didn't just leave that for someone else to sort — our team made good and re-plastered as part of the job, so the customer was left with a finished, presentable home, not a building site to sort out afterwards.

Similar in scope to our recent Longridge project, this is exactly the kind of job we love — full end-to-end electrical transformation, no third parties, no loose ends.

🔌 Full house rewire — complete, safe, modern electrics throughout
☀️ AlphaESS solar & battery storage — the safest battery chemistry available, installed by our AlphaESS-approved in-house team
⚡ FREE Ohme Home Pro EV charger — solar-aware smart charging, included as part of our current bundle offer
🧱 Full plastering included — no mess left behind, no second contractor needed
🏆 NICEIC approved, MCS certified

If you're considering a rewire alongside solar and battery storage, ask us about our current bundle offer — a free Ohme Home Pro EV charger is included when you book the two together.

💡 Changing Room Lighting Upgrade — Fleetwood Leisure Centre 💡

Week 1 on site at Fleetwood Leisure Centre, carrying out a full lighting upgrade across the changing rooms — and the transformation is already turning heads with staff and visitors.

The old fittings were well overdue an upgrade, so we've stripped everything back and started fresh, working alongside Ansell Lighting on a brand new lighting layout design — including full emergency lighting, brought right up to current design and wiring regulations.

What's going in:

💡 New 600x600 LED panels — bright, even, energy-efficient lighting throughout
🚿 Tornado moisture-proof fittings — built for the demands of a busy changing room and shower environment
🚨 Fully compliant emergency lighting — designed to current regulations, keeping the centre safe and compliant
🔌 Rewired power, heater and hand dryer circuits — bringing the electrical infrastructure up to modern standards, not just the lighting

We've had loads of great feedback already from people using the centre — the aim with this project is to create a genuinely fresh, bright and welcoming environment, so people actually enjoy using the facilities rather than just tolerating dated changing rooms to get to the pool or gym.

This is exactly the kind of commercial and public sector electrical work we love taking on — full design collaboration, proper compliance work, and a visible difference for the local community using the building every day.

If you manage a leisure centre, school, or commercial building that's overdue a lighting upgrade, get in touch — we handle everything from design through to installation and certification.
