I treated another active and very well-established wasp nest last week. The season is almost at an end; only the strong remain.

Wasps can often be found nesting behind the flashing around windows, bays and extensions! This wasn’t the most active nest I’ve treated, but the workers were distinctly large and well developed.

Another large wasp nest treated today. The wasps were looking for access all along the outer fascia - no doubt the nest ran quite some way along the interior cavity.

Today I was near Drax power station on behalf of Mitie, Babcock & Clean ‘n’ Bright. Work on a new scaffold for servicing the power lines had to be stopped so this wasp nest could be properly treated.

Wasps will nest in the most inconvenient of places! For example, within a canopy above a front door, using the smallest gaps for access and egress.

Once a wasp nest has been treated with insecticide, the wasps frenzy. This is actually a good sign. Here’s a particularly large nest I treated earlier today.
