Another extension completed (extensions very popular at the minute) this one done in the classic white ceilings, magnolia walls and white satin woodwork. Ready for the carpet fitting and ready to move furniture into.

New orangery room completed. All new plaster coated up using Johnstones contract Matt emulsion. Then all walls and ceilings done in Johnstones vinyl Matt mixed in Egyptian cotton. Woodwork in white satin. Ready for flooring to be fitted and become an extra room to the house.

Finishing off some Facia and soffits that were in really bad condition and haven’t been touched for well over a decade. Looking fresh and all set for a good few years now. All about the prep on these kind of jobs.

Just because something is new on a new build, doesn’t mean it’s in pristine condition, this front door needed a really good sand down before applying a few coats of Zinnser Allcoat in sage green. As you can see all the white areas were imperfections. Looks much better now, than the standard black on the rest of the estate.

More facia boards that haven’t been touched for well over 15 years and in quite a bad way, will have them looking new again in no time. So glad I booked tomorrow off work though, would not fancy climbing up here after a few b**rs and the football tonight 🤣 COME ON ENGLAND! Footballs coming home again, with Thomas Tuchel 🤞

Love these from brand new jobs, there’s literally no better finish than fresh plaster. Been extremely hot on this one but it’s all finished now. Ceilings and woodwork are farrow and ball Whimbourne white. Walls are Boringdon Green by Little Green.

Facia boards on today’s agenda, little bit hot though 🥵 so it’s home time for a b**r and the champions league final. Have a great weekend everyone!

Newly plastered office room. Ceiling and woodwork is Whimbourne white. Walls are Sage green. All done using Johnstones acrylic durable Matt, for that fully wipeable/scrubbable finish.

Painting isn’t about as many people think ‘just slapping a paint brush about’ it’s about having the experience and knowledge of exactly how to prepare and use the correct products for the given task. Many people skip this step, it’s called a mist coat, all bare plaster must have this, or issues will occur down the line, like peeling, cracking, poor adhesion of the top coats. New plaster is porous like a sponge, so I’m going to leave this over the weekend to soak in and it’s ready for some colour on Monday. Have a great weekend everyone!
