Another high-end wet room completed by Shane Hardy Tiling, with wall and floor tiling finished to an immaculate standard.

From the initial preparation through to the final tile, every detail has been carefully considered to ensure a quality, long-lasting finish. 🔥

A massive shout-out to Star Plumbing for the excellent bathroom installation. 👏 We don’t often get to see the finished product once we’ve completed the tiling, so it’s always great to see everything come together — and we absolutely love this one!

Natural Limestone Transformation 🏡✨

Another beautiful flooring project completed by Shane Hardy Tiling.

We installed 600 x 900 x 18mm natural limestone flooring throughout the lounge, hallway and WC, creating a timeless, natural finish that will look fantastic for years to come.

🔨 Preparation is everything!
This floor was installed over a heated screed, so we carried out full preparation before tiling. We used BAL Rapid Mat to provide a suitable decoupling layer over the heated screed, helping accommodate movement and providing the correct base for the natural limestone.

From preparation through to the final tile, every stage is completed with care to achieve a high-quality, long-lasting finish.

🔨The importance of preparation 👌

A recent kitchen diner and WC floor tiling project, finished using stunning 600 x 1200mm tiles supplied by The Tile Company, Northallerton importersdirecttile

The existing tiles had unfortunately failed due to poor preparation and a lack of priming. Rather than simply replacing the tiles, we stripped everything back and addressed the underlying problem properly.

🔨 Preparation is everything when it comes to tiling.

We:
• Removed all of the existing failed tiles
• Thoroughly prepared the floor
• Applied BAL APD Primer to ensure the correct bond
• Followed this with BAL Level Fast Screed to create a suitable, level surface
• Installed the new 600 x 1200mm tiles to the kitchen diner and WC

A quality tile installation starts long before the first tile is laid. Correct preparation and priming are essential for achieving a strong, long-lasting finish and helping prevent future tile failure.

Another floor completed with the preparation done properly from the start. 💪
