The nomination recognises Hawkesworth’s work through the Safe Homes Initiative, a partnership with North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, Maxwell’s of Northallerton and Electrical Safety First.

Through the initiative, Hawkesworth engineers help identify and reduce electrical fire risks in higher-risk homes. We test electrical appliances and leads, identify unsafe items and arrange replacements at no cost to residents.
