A little lighting upgrade in Hersham 💡

The existing glass pendant lights over the breakfast bar weren’t evenly spaced, so these were replaced and repositioned to give the whole run a much more balanced look.

A bit of careful measuring, moving the wiring and making sure we kept the ceiling damage to an absolute minimum, because nobody wants a ceiling full of random holes 😂

New lights in, everything evenly spaced, and another happy customer.

Simple job, but it makes a surprisingly big difference 👌

A few little jobs done on this one today

Nothing massive, but a nice little tidy-up and upgrade:

• Moved a pre-gang light switch to a more practical position
• Added a new socket underneath the consumer unit
• Upgraded the existing inline fan to a much better fan
• Swapped out the old light fitting for a new one
Upgraded downlights in the hallway to LED

A few holes needed making along the way… but luckily the new mirror is going over the top, so you’ll never know they were there 😎

Sometimes it’s the smaller electrical jobs that make the biggest difference to how a room works.

A bit of electrician magic…

Back to a returning customer in Weybridge for a bathroom renovation ⚡️

The job involved installing the wiring for the new wall lights — getting everything exactly where it needed to be behind a finished wall.

Cue a bit of careful planning, some fishing for cables and a little bit of electrician magic… 😂

No visible damage. No ugly chasing. No evidence I was ever there.

Just the finished bathroom looking like this was always the plan. 👌

Very satisfying one this.

⚓ Another day, another electrical challenge on the water.

Back at the marina today to investigate an electrical fault onboard.

After carrying out fault finding, the inverter/charger was confirmed to be faulty. A new unit was installed, tested, and everything was back up and running as it should be. ✅

Every job is different, and that’s one of the things I enjoy most—tracking down faults and getting people safely back up and running, whether it’s in a home, a business, or on a boat.

A nice little job for one of our regular customers in Surbiton today 😊

The old extractor fan had finally given up, so we upgraded it to a new Manrose inline fan tucked away in the loft. Much quieter, more powerful and far more effective at clearing moisture from the bathroom. 💨

While I was there, I also swapped over an outside light that had seen better days. 🔦

It’s always nice going back to customers who keep calling me whenever they need electrical work—it really is appreciated. Thank you for the continued support! 👍

Remember the storage heater upgrade we posted earlier this week? Here’s the finished result! 👌

The old storage heaters are gone (along with what felt like a tonne of storage bricks! 💪😂), and the new high-retention heaters are now fully installed and commissioned throughout the property in Godalming.

A few highlights from the job:
✅ Old heaters safely removed
✅ Modern high-retention storage heaters installed
✅ Neat surface trunking where required
✅ New controls set up and ready to use
✅ Property left clean and tidy

These new heaters offer much better control, improved heat retention and are far more efficient than the older units they replaced.

Always satisfying seeing a job go from a pile of bricks and wiring to a clean finished installation. Thanks to the customer for trusting Brad Neil Electrical with the upgrade.

Day one in Godalming swapping out some seriously old storage heaters. 🔥

Out with the bricks (literally!) and in with modern heaters that actually hold onto the heat instead of wasting it.

These particular heaters are being installed as part of a government-funded upgrade scheme, helping eligible homeowners improve their heating without covering the full cost themselves.

Nice neat trunking run, first heater up, and plenty more to go. Looking forward to seeing the finished result. 💪⚡
