It’s the details that make a project like this truly exceptional ✨

For this remarkable High Victorian kitchen, every tile was carefully considered, with more than 2,000 handcrafted architectural tiles produced specifically for the space.
From custom-made classical pilasters to heritage wall tiles, moulded corners, coved skirtings, curved transitions, window sills and bespoke junction pieces, each element was designed to ensure every surface flowed seamlessly into the next. The result is an installation where no detail feels like an afterthought.

Rather than relying on standard formats, the project called for a wide variety of shapes, profiles and sizes, allowing the tiled surfaces to respond beautifully to the architecture and bespoke joinery. It’s this level of craftsmanship and precision that gives the kitchen such a timeless, authentic feel.

A kitchen designed to feel as though it has always belonged to the house 🏡

Created by Artichoke for a Georgian estate in Sussex, this High Victorian bespoke kitchen draws on historic craftsmanship and architectural authenticity, with every detail carefully considered to complement the character of the property.

We were delighted to contribute the handcrafted tiles for this exceptional project. Rich in colour, texture and subtle variation, the tiles bring depth, warmth and a sense of permanence to the space, complementing the scale and grandeur of the bespoke joinery while adding a distinctive layer of craftsmanship and character.

A wonderful example of how thoughtful collaboration and traditional making techniques can create interiors with lasting beauty and authenticity.

We’re proud to share that our work on the restoration of the historic faience tiles at Blandford Town Hall has been awarded Best Heritage Project by 🏆

Hidden behind plywood for decades, these remarkable decorative tiles have now been brought back to life as part of the refurbishment of this stunning Grade I Listed building.

Using 3D scans of the surviving originals, our team hand-carved new moulds to faithfully reproduce the intricate decorative and dado tiles. Missing and damaged glazed tiles were carefully colour-matched and recreated using traditional craftsmanship, ensuring the restored scheme remained true to the original 1891 design.

One of the highlights is the reinstatement of the beautiful face of Demeter, goddess of agriculture, once again taking pride of place within the building.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in this special project, including Hammond Building Contractors, Spencer Hall and for their expert installation.

As seen in the ✨

Our collaboration with brings together two historic British ceramic houses in a collection that’s as timeless as it is striking. Inspired by Burleigh’s iconic 1968 Calico pattern, each hand-moulded tile transforms the intricate floral motif into a richly textured surface with depth, movement, and light-catching detail.

Finished with a translucent, stained-glass-style glaze and handcrafted in the UK using traditional cast and pressed clay techniques, every tile is a celebration of British craftsmanship and modern interiors alike.

Perfect for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects, these tiles bring character, artistry, and enduring elegance to any space.

In 2025, student joined us in the factory to hone skills in the art of mosaic and encaustic manufacturing. This week, her hard work was officially unveiled at hospital 🏥
Ruby is pictured here with our Floor Tile and R&D Production Manager, Chris Cox, alongside the talented team from Gary, Guy, and Pawel, who brought the installation to life in the old portico.
The mosaic will soon be joined by furniture, metalwork, and stained glass created by fellow students to celebrate the completion of their Building Arts Programme.

As one of only a handful of traditional encaustic manufacturers remaining, it’s more important now than ever to ensure these heritage skills are preserved for the future ⚒️ 🎨
