🏁 WHAT A RESULT! 🏁
A fantastic weekend at the Hills Ford Stages Rally for the two crews supported by Severn Drainage Solutions.
After being away from rallying for a couple of years, Richy Williams and co-driver Chris Whittall made a remarkable return in Richy’s BMW E36 328, car 71.
They brought the car home 2nd in class and an incredible 14th overall against a very strong field—an absolutely astonishing result!
Having been involved in getting the BMW ready and supporting the crew throughout the event, seeing Richy and Chris achieve a result like that made all the effort worthwhile. Huge congratulations to them both and to everyone who helped prepare and run the car over the weekend. 👏
There was also someone very special being remembered throughout the weekend. The BMW carried a loving tribute to Richy’s mum, Di, who sadly passed away recently. Di was a very dear friend to us all and is deeply missed. It was incredibly touching to see her remembered not only on Richy’s car, but by friends throughout the motor club—and I know it meant a lot to Richy’s dad, Kev to see that tribute carried to such a special result. ❤️
Unfortunately, it was a much tougher rally for Pete Morgan and co-driver Dave Price in Pete’s Vauxhall Chevette, car 95. After suffering a broken half-shaft at Weston Park on Saturday, they returned on Sunday determined to continue.
They successfully completed SS5, but sadly, clutch failure on the following stage—SS6—brought their rally to an early end. That’s motorsport sometimes, but Pete and Dave dealt with the disappointment brilliantly.
Most importantly, everybody returned home safely after a demanding weekend.
Rallying has always been a real passion of mine, so being able to support both crews and lend a hand behind the scenes throughout the weekend meant a great deal. For me, sponsorship is about far more than putting a company name on a car—it’s about helping good people get out there and do what they love.
I’m incredibly proud of both crews, and hopefully there will be plenty more rallying to come! 🏁
