We have been asked for a newbie’s list so thought I would do a post for Lynda and all those who are thinking of starting a tropical style garden, new to it and interested in a little help as you continue.

A lot of the Cannas have started flowering now, and this one is special due to it being a Cleopatra 'red'. It has reverted from its usual variegated green and black stripe colouring to a solid black with red flower.
