Friday marked the official opening of the new Hybrid ‘Super’ Theatre at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

It was a privilege to be part of the celebration and to see this state-of-the-art facility first-hand.

We were proud to support the event by donating the celebration cake and contributing towards the catering, helping bring together hospital staff, charity supporters, volunteers and project partners to mark such an important milestone.

The new theatre will support game-changing surgery for patients across Devon, helping improve outcomes, reduce recovery times and increase surgical capacity.

A huge congratulations to the Royal Devon Hospitals Charity, Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and everyone involved in delivering this fantastic facility.

Great to be back at Topsham RFC for this year’s Chiefs Engage programme!

visited Chiefs Engage and Chiefs Engage 16+ to deliver a workshop on roles within Construction, giving young students insight into construction roles, project examples and the different routes into the industry.

Colin, Charli, Emily, Alex & Andy shared real project examples, led practical activities and ran a drone demonstration as part of the session. It was a great opportunity to support local young people, create social value in the community and build on our ongoing sponsorship of the Exeter Chiefs team.

Works are continuing at the Polurrian on the Lizard Hotel in Mullion as part of the overall redevelopment and improvement programme at the site, whilst the hotel remains open for business and continues to host regular weddings and events.

Recent activity has included the completion of piling works and the main external retaining structure, separate to the existing main buildings. The steel frame is also progressing, with pre-cast stair elements and lift shaft now being introduced to the site.

The project remains a carefully managed live construction environment, with the team continuing to coordinate activity on site while being mindful of the hotel’s setting, its guests, event visitors and the surrounding community. We will continue to share measured updates as the redevelopment progresses.

We are delighted to welcome Charli Woollacott to Nevada Construction as our new Apprentice Site Manager.

Charli joins the team as she begins an exciting step in her construction career, developing her skills on site and gaining hands-on experience across project delivery, site coordination, health and safety, and working closely with our project teams.

In parallel with her continuing academic studies, Charli will be supporting site operations, learning from our experienced managers, and building the practical knowledge needed to help deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the high standards that we strive to deliver.
