🌳🪵🚨Last week, our team responded to an urgent call-out after a substantial limb from a mature oak tree failed and landed on school grounds.
Fortunately, the incident occurred outside of busy school hours and no one was injured. Our team attended promptly to make the area safe and carry out the necessary remedial work.
Following a detailed assessment, it was determined that the tree has suffered a significant wound as a result of the failure. Due to the extent of the damage, combined with the tree's proximity to neighbouring houses and overhead power lines, the difficult decision has been made that the tree will now need to be removed to mitigate future risk.
As temperatures rise, trees can sometimes experience what's known as summer branch drop—the unexpected failure of large limbs, often from otherwise healthy-looking trees.
