What a Saturday!
We are still smiling from an afternoon that reminded us exactly why the garden exists, as a space for the community to come together, and for something genuinely wonderful to happen within these old stone walls.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to the fundraising concert last Saturday. The garden was full, the marquee was buzzing.
The afternoon was a truly collaborative effort and our heartfelt thanks go to Sarah Watts - Clarinets, the Skye Wind Band, Isle of Raasay Distillery whose generous sponsorship and complimentary refreshments made the afternoon so special,Thymeandtidebakes, and our friends at Raasay Community Stores who brought the whole thing to life.
We also want to echo everything the Community Stores have said about *A Raasay Suite*. To host the world premiere of a piece of music written about this island, performed in this garden, was one of the most moving things we have been part of. Sarah's six movements, named for Fladda, Raasay Woods, Dun Caan, Suisnish Pier, Screapadal and Hallaig, were everything we could have hoped for and more.
If you weren't there, or if you simply want to carry a piece of Saturday home with you, Sarah has released the recording on Bandcamp and is donating all sales to the New Raasay Community Stores Renovation Fund until 15th August. We would urge you to download it.

Together, the concert raised **£648.20** for the New Raasay Community Stores , every penny going towards the transformation of the old church into something our island can be proud of for generations.
Thank you, Raasay.
