New week, new whole house rewire. We have the whole team working on this to get it over the line. Customer has asked us to relocate the consumer unit due to difficult access, and rewire the entire house due to failing electrics.

🏠 New build electrics. 🔌 The team has just installed some of the ducting to go underneath the screed of this new build home. Eventually this will be a kitchen area with an island, so the electrics will need to be ducted over to the island, because once that concrete is poured there will be no access.

Looking forward to getting started on the electrical install on this one, but don't want to get in there before the screed is dry. 😉

Hottest day of the year, but our team was out with another defibrillator installation for a local parish council. 🚑

We have received instruction from another parish council to install these units in the parish and we are delighted to be involved in making the community that little bit safer and aware of where their local Defibrillator units are.

Definitely feels like a Friday before a May long weekend! We are busy EICR testing on workplace offices today and also enjoying the protein packed lunch, with some good tunes playing to make the day go by quicker.

We're busy this week providing a new electrical installation at a soon-to-open bbq restaurant in Cirencester. The client has taken over an old shop, ripped out all the interior and converting it to an amazing, mouth-watering, slow-cooked bbq restaurant. We'll be sharing more details as they become available, with more pictures to follow.

Before and after pictures of a bathroom reno that we have been back to finish off. Bathroom fitter had run the cabling, so we had to check it all over, adjust the location of the cable, and then finish the second fix and hand over to customer.

🪞 Customer also asked if we could hang the 1.5x1m mirror, which was a bit nerve racking but all completed with no broken glass!

Top tier garage install. Wireless access point, sockets, lighting and future ev car charger coming at some point.

Customer owns the garage which is separate from the house, but had no power there so we took an armoured cable from the house and over to the garage. We were also able to establish a hard wired wifi-network in the garage, as well as adding power for double electric garage doors, sockets and lighting throughout the double garage.

Was great to receive some of these photos and a glowing google review from a recent side and rear extension that we have completed. 🏠

New fuse board, full kitchen, bedroom, ensuite, living and dining room wiring. Was a great project to work on and glad to see the client fully moved in and enjoying their new space.

In-ceiling speakers and LED tape light just finished it all off to a really high spec and the customer was really happy with all the work and left us a lovely Google review.

We've just completed a landlord electrical safety check and found that there were non-fire rated downlight in a ceiling that had bedrooms above.

When a downlight is installed, a hole is cut into the ceiling — this breaks the fire barrier designed to stop flames and smoke from spreading between floors.

Another outdoor power project! The weather was a little bleaker first thing this morning, but we still managed to finish this project for another happy customer. The garden office that we did yesterday and in the previous post was routed underground in an armoured cable, whereas today the best route to take was overhead using steel catenary cable.

The customer has had the summer house for several years, but never had any power there, so we ran the catenary cable from the main house power supply out to the summer house, providing a safe and reliable power supply for light up at the summer house. Using proper supports, tensioning, and weatherproof components, the result is both practical and tidy—built to last in all conditions.
