Great finish to the week with a glowing 5-star review on a recent EV Charger install. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

BG EV Sync 2 car charger installed with wifi capability, we installed this car charger on its own separate EV consumer unit, so we also included power consumption monitoring. This means that if there is excessive power being consumed elsewhere in the house, that the EV charger would limit the power that would be used by the car plugged in, so as not to overload the fuseboard.

Clean, smart and a safe install. ⚡️

What an improvement! 💡👍💡Was very satisfying to remove these bright white LED batten lights and install some more aesthetically pleasing warmer hanging fixtures for this furniture showroom in Coleford.

Big shout out to the to the very helpful staff at Fairway Furnishing for their help with moving the furniture out of the way for our scissor lift to have access to all the lighting areas.

Very satisfying indeed. A simple socket installation done well. Chased wall repaired and filled in, no fuss and one happy customer. Just a bit of touch up with paint that the homeowner had to do and then they sent us the final photo.

Wondering if your home or place of work needs an electrical safety check? If you own the home then the guidance is every 10 years. However the regulations vary for different use cases of a building:

-landlord rental. Minimum of once every 5 years

Attention to details! 👀

EICR testing includes using testing equipment but also involves simple visual observations like the ones in the pictures. Poor workmanship from whoever originally installed these cables means that we have live cabling crammed in metal holes with very sharp edges. What can go wrong? ❌️❌️❌️

We make a note of it on the inspection schedule and review it with the client and carry out the remedial work. This involves enlargening the holes to remove the stress on the cables and then install the correct mechanical protection required. Its at this point that we are able to issue a satisfactory EICR certificate to the client.

So electrical testing does involve testing equipment, but also just simple visual observations like the one in the pictures. With electrics if it looks wrong or suspicious, it probably is...

EICR testing is required for all commercial installations and residential rentals every 5 years at a minimum. Private homeowners are recommended for every 10 years. If you think your home/rental or place of work needs an electrical inspection, then make contact using the details below.

It’s been a little while since our last post, but there’s a good reason… we’ve been busy working! 😄 Along with fitting in a bit of well-earned annual leave, we’ve been keeping ourselves busy behind the scenes.

As part of our commitment to keeping our skills, qualifications and site safety standards up to date, we’ve recently undertaken IPAF training for operating Mobile Elevating Work Platforms that will allow us to use mobile lifters safely and effectively. 📋 🔧

Depending on the type of work we are doing whether commercial, industrial or domestic, we regularly work at height so making sure we have the right training and qualifications is really important to us — not just for ourselves, but for our customers and everyone we work alongside.
