What an incredible project to be a part of. ❤️

A few months ago I was lucky enough to be involved in The Ada Project alongside an amazing team of trades, suppliers, volunteers and businesses who all came together to make something truly special happen for Ada and her family.

Seeing everyone donate their time, skills and materials to transform this garden in just a few days was something I’ll never forget. It wasn’t just about building a garden – it was about giving a family a space they could enjoy together and showing what can be achieved when a community pulls together.

I’m proud that Inman’s Electricals Ltd could play a small part in such an incredible project.

The documentary has now been released, and I would encourage everyone to give it a watch. Ada’s story is inspiring, emotional and a reminder that even the smallest contribution can make a huge difference.

A massive well done to everyone involved and a huge thank you to Wilson Landscapes Ltd for making it all happen.

Chasing out walls has got to be one of the most soul-destroying jobs in the trade.

Hours of noise, dust everywhere, arms hanging off, and enough black muck up your nose to last a month.

The customer sees a few neat lines in the wall…

We see pain, suffering, and a lifetime supply of dust. 🤣⚡

Underfloor heating job completed… but not without trying to test my patience first 😂🔥

Delivery company decided to add a bit of excitement to the week, so instead of materials arriving nicely like they should…

There was me… 5:30am last Tuesday, hottest day known to man, heading to Southend like I was starring in Fast & Furious: Self Leveller Drift 🚐💨🥵

Collected the materials myself, straight back to site and straight into the graft.

No breakfast. No drama. No crying… well, maybe a little 😅

✅ Insulation boards down
✅ Mechanically fixed
✅ Heating mats laid and secured
✅ Self level poured and ready for tiles

Started before the birds were awake and finally packed up around 9:30pm 💪🏻

Then back again today for the little touch ups… because if you’re doing it, do it properly 👌

People see the smooth finished floor…

They don’t see the electrician sweating litres, driving across the country and fighting delivery companies like it’s a full-time sport 😂⚡

When you’ve been grafting all day, fault finding, chasing walls, lifting floorboards, crawling through lofts and finally get home absolutely finished…

Then the missus hits you with:

“Can you just change this socket?” 😅⚡

Love… I’ve been changing sockets since 8am 😂

There’s something about doing electrics all day for customers and then suddenly losing all electrical qualifications the second you walk through your own front door 👀

Any other sparks suffer from this or just me? 🤣👊🏻
