🔨 New Project Secured – Clordir Road, Pontlliw 🔨

Another one secured for the D&K team.

We’ve been awarded the internal carpentry works with Willis Construction at Clordir Road, Pontlliw.

Our works will cover the carpentry throughout the new homes, including stairs, doors, skirting, architraves and finishing works, alongside other elements of the package.

The scheme will deliver 31 affordable homes for the local community, including houses, bungalows and apartments.

Looking forward to getting started and working alongside Willis Construction on another great South Wales project.

🔨 Cimla Progress Update 🔨

A few drone shots from our ongoing SO Modular scheme in Cimla.

The timber frames have absolutely flown up on this one and we're now into the final stages of the project, with the end of our contract fast approaching.

It's always satisfying to see a site from above and appreciate just how much progress has been made in a relatively short space of time. What started as foundations is now a development that's really taking shape.

A big thank you to our supervisors and timber framers for their efforts throughout the build, as well as the team at SO Modular. We're looking forward to getting the final elements wrapped up and handing over another successful project.

🔨 Another Project Secured with Persimmon Homes West Wales 🔨

We're pleased to have secured another site with Persimmon Homes West Wales, continuing a strong working relationship that has seen us successfully deliver a number of schemes together.

This time we'll be working at Bryn Awel, Carmarthen, a new residential development that will provide a mix of high-quality, energy-efficient homes in a prime location on the edge of the town. The wider development forms part of a significant investment in the area, helping to deliver much-needed housing and community infrastructure for Carmarthenshire.

Repeat business is always appreciated and is a reflection of the hard work put in by our supervisors, site teams, and operatives across previous projects.

We're looking forward to getting started on site and continuing to deliver the high standards expected by Persimmon and future homeowners alike.

We’re looking to bring on a new Timber Frame Apprentice (NVQ Level 2) to join the team at D&K Carpentry.

This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience working on live construction sites, learning from experienced carpenters and building real projects across South Wales.

You’ll be involved in everything from erecting timber frame structures to understanding drawings and working safely on site — gaining the skills needed to build a long-term career in construction.

🔨 Parc Pendre, Kidwelly – Works Completed 🔨

We’ve recently completed our internal carpentry package at Parc Pendre, Kidwelly for Vaughan Construction Ltd.

From first fix through to completion, the job ran smoothly and to programme, which comes down to good coordination across site. Credit to the Vaughan team for keeping things well organised throughout.

A big thanks to our supervisors and carpenters on this one — a solid effort to deliver the works to the standard we expect.

Another good project completed and one we’re proud to have been part of.

🔨 Ongoing Project – Brynygroes Phase 2B, Ystradgynlais 🔨

Works are progressing well for us on Brynygroes Phase 2B, continuing on from the successful delivery of Phase 1 and Phase 2A.

The wider Parc Brynygroes development in Ystradgynlais is a £20m+ scheme delivering around 110 new, energy-efficient homes, built using modern construction methods and designed to support sustainable communities.

It’s been a great site to be part of from the early stages, and good to see the project continue to move forward at pace. Credit to Morgan Construction Wales Ltd and their site team — always well organised and a solid team to work alongside.

We’re looking forward to pushing on with Phase 2B and delivering another phase to the same high standard.
