🚨 BREAKING NEWS: ONE WINDOW AND A PAIR OF FRENCH DOORS HAVE BEEN DUMPED! 💔😂

Apparently, the relationship had been going downhill for some time…

One was accused of being cold

And the second! Well, let’s just say appearances were becoming a bit of an issue! 😳

Even the French doors weren’t safe. 🇫🇷

After years together, the homeowner decided enough was enough.

Out with the old relationships… and in with some rather attractive new ones! 😍

And looking at these photographs, who can blame them?

Beautiful black frames, fresh white French doors, more natural light and a completely different outlook on life.

Sometimes a fresh start really does make all the difference!

💚 BUT HERE’S THE GOOD NEWS…

Unlike a divorce, replacing your windows doesn’t necessarily mean one enormous financial settlement! 😂

At Windowmaker, we offer flexible finance options to help spread the cost of your home improvements, subject to status and terms.

And because we manufacture our own uPVC windows and doors right here in Swansea, you’re dealing directly with the people who make them.

No middlemen. No pressure. Just honest advice, quality products and professional installation.

💬 So, come on, be honest…

Are your windows still in a happy relationship with your home, or is it time you started seeing someone new? 😂

Three weeks ago we fitted this door… and Cheryl said she’d be back. She was true to her word. 💚

After being delighted with her new front and back doors, Cheryl placed another order with Windowmaker — this time for her windows, which were installed yesterday.

Today she phoned to tell us how thrilled she is with the finished result, with another special mention for John and Dale and the quality and care they showed throughout the installation.

For us, this is what trust, quality, respect and value really look like.

It isn’t simply about winning an order. It’s about doing the job properly, respecting someone’s home, delivering the quality they expected and leaving them confident enough to choose Windowmaker again — and recommend us to others.

And that trust is helping us grow. Today alone we’ve received three new enquiries, all of which came back to people seeing our regular Facebook posts. That tells us that sharing our work, our customers’ experiences and the people behind Windowmaker really does matter.

Thank you Cheryl for choosing us again, and thank you to every customer who leaves a review, recommends us or simply shares and follows our posts. You’re helping a local family business build its reputation one installation at a time.

What does the Windowmaker name stand for?

For us, it’s about more than manufacturing and installing windows and doors. It’s about giving our customers confidence in who they are buying from, what they are buying and who will be there afterwards.

There are five important pillars behind the Windowmaker name.

✅ FENSA — giving our customers confidence that their installation meets the required standards.

✅ PWF — providing additional protection and reassurance through an insurance-backed warranty.

✅ Eurocell — quality British-designed PVC-U systems from a name recognised throughout our industry.

✅ Finance — helping make home improvements more manageable, with flexible payment options available, subject to status and terms.

✅ Windowmaker — a local, family-run Swansea manufacturer and installer. We manufacture our uPVC windows and doors ourselves, so you’re dealing directly with the people behind the product.

From the first conversation, through manufacturing and installation, to the support afterwards, these are the foundations on which we continue to build Windowmaker.

No pressure. No unnecessary middleman. Just quality products, experienced people and a local business that wants to earn your trust.

🪟 ONE-OFF WINDOW — FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED!

Every now and again, even we manufacture a window that wasn’t quite what was ordered! 😬

The good news is… someone else could pick up a brand-new, fully glazed A-rated uPVC window at a great price.

We currently have ONE window available, manufactured here at Windowmaker in Swansea:

✅ 2400mm wide × 1280mm high (inclusive of sill)
✅ A-rated
✅ Fully glazed — glass well suited to a kitchen, allowing plenty of natural light
✅ 650mm wide bottom opener
✅ White handle
✅ Trickle vent
✅ Complete with 150mm cill
✅ Brand new and ready to go

This is a "one-off window", so the measurements need to work for your opening — but if they do, somebody could grab themselves a bargain.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 DID YOU KNOW WALES? — EDITION #12 ✈️

This week’s edition brings back a very personal memory.

Back in 1990, my family and I joined many others near Cardiff Airport to watch one of the most recognisable aircraft ever built take to the skies — Concorde.

Cars were parked along the roadside and people had gathered just to watch her leave. We sat almost directly beneath the flight path as she climbed away.

And the thing I remember most?

The noise.

The roar from those four Olympus engines was absolutely deafening. You didn’t just see Concorde taking off — you felt it.

More than 35 years later, my daughter remembers that day clearly too.

But Concorde’s connection with Wales goes deeper than those memorable visits to Cardiff. There is also a fascinating connection with Llanelli through British Concorde chief test pilot Brian Trubshaw, the man who took British prototype Concorde 002 into the air for the first time in 1969.

From its early Welsh connections to appearances at Cardiff and its final Welsh visit in 2003, Concorde left quite an impression on Wales.

So this week’s Did You Know Wales? celebrates an aircraft that could travel at more than twice the speed of sound — and created memories that have lasted considerably longer.

Were you at Cardiff Airport when Concorde visited?
Perhaps you were there in 1990 too?

📸 If you’ve got photographs, tickets, newspaper cuttings or simply a memory of seeing Concorde in Wales, share it in the comments. We’d love to hear your story.

🏡 A BIG PROJECT — AND ONE WE’RE PROUD TO BE PART OF

Today the Windowmaker team has been back in Tonypandy, continuing our part in the refurbishment of a residential care home undergoing significant investment.

We have the privilege of supplying and installing the new windows and doors, finished in Agate Grey externally and White internally, together with new fascias, soffits and guttering in contrasting Anthracite Grey.

You’ll notice we’ve deliberately left the protective tape on the frames. With rendering and other building work still taking place, it’s there for a reason — protecting the new products until the surrounding work is complete. 👍

But this project is about much more than simply fitting windows.

Over the next few weeks we move onto the residents’ bedroom windows, and that requires careful planning. Our installation programme will be coordinated with the residents and nursing staff, working room by room to keep disruption to an absolute minimum while the home continues to operate.

Projects like this demonstrate a different side of what we do at Windowmaker — manufacturing, planning, supplying and installing as part of a much larger refurbishment programme.

And we think the Agate Grey and Anthracite combination is already looking fantastic. 👌

More from Tonypandy as the project progresses…

🏡 ONE PROJECT… THAT JUST KEPT GROWING! 😊

Yesterday we received this lovely comment from one of our customers, Lisa, and it really summed up the kind of customer journey we love at Windowmaker.

It started with a new front porch entrance door and four windows. Then came the decision to have a new front door to match the porch entrance.

And they weren’t finished there… 😄

Next was a triple-glazed bedroom window, chosen specifically to help reduce street noise, followed by a new living-room window to complete the transformation at the front of their home.

What started as one project has completely changed the appearance of the property — giving it fantastic kerb appeal and a smart, coordinated finish.

Then last night Lisa left us this wonderful comment:

“From beginning to end Mark in sales and fitters were extremely professional… your follow up to ensure everything was completed properly was great.”

But perhaps the best bit?

“Look forward to using you again soon for son’s house!” ❤️

For a local family business, repeat customers, recommendations and comments like this really do mean a lot.

Thank you, Lisa, for trusting Windowmaker — not once, but again and again. And it sounds like we’ll be seeing the family again very soon! 😊

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 DID YOU KNOW WALES? — EDITION #11 ⚽️

This week’s edition is a little more personal for me.

I was born and bred in Wrexham, although Swansea is now home, and hanging on my wall is this photograph of the Racecourse Ground — but it’s not just any photograph.

It’s a signed and numbered limited-edition print, number 13 of only 30 produced, and it’s something I’m particularly fond of.

It seemed very appropriate to share it today because this week’s Did You Know Wales? takes us back 150 years, to Wrexham in 1876 and the beginnings of Welsh international football.

The Football Association of Wales was founded at the Wynnstay Arms Hotel, Wrexham, on 2 February 1876. Just weeks later, Wales played its first international against Scotland — beginning a footballing story that generations of Welsh supporters have since made their own.

And looking at my print got me thinking…

How much Welsh football history is sitting in the homes of our followers?

Maybe you’ve got an old match ticket or programme. A shirt or scarf from a game you’ll never forget. A signed item, photograph, badge or newspaper cutting. Perhaps something handed down through your family — or, like mine, something hanging on the wall that simply means something to you.

📸 We’d love you to share it with us.

Pop a photograph in the comments and tell us what it is, roughly when it’s from and, most importantly, why you’ve kept it.

It doesn’t have to be rare. It doesn’t have to be valuable.

Sometimes the story behind an item is worth far more than the item itself.

Let’s see if we can turn the comments underneath Edition #11 into our own little collection of Welsh football memories from across the generations. ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

And, of course, there’s another challenge waiting for you…
