⚠️ SCAM ALERT: MUMBLES ⚠️
A couple in their 90s was just targeted by rogue traders using high-pressure fear tactics.
The Scam:
It started with a "gutter clean" but turned into claims that the roof was falling in. The traders stripped the roof, leaving the home exposed, and demanded a £4,000 deposit on an £18,000 "repair."
The Outcome:
The Bank: Blocked the £4,000 payment—the scammers didn't get a penny!
Authorities: Both the Police and Trading Standards have been informed.
The Reality:
That £18,000 "repair" is way over what a professional company would charge for even a full, high-spec replacement.
