Over the past few weeks we've been carrying out Japanese Knotw**d surveys and treatment visits across South Wales, working on everything from residential gardens and commercial sites to riverbanks, woodland and open countryside.

Some sites are receiving their first herbicide treatment as part of a new management plan, while others are now entering their second year of treatment, allowing us to monitor progress and target any regrowth.

Every site presents its own challenges, whether that's difficult access, neighbouring land, dense vegetation or large established infestations. Taking the time to understand each site allows us to develop the most appropriate management strategy for both the client and the property.

From small back gardens to large development plots, every infestation is unique. Whether it is herbicide treatment or full excavation and removal, we offer a compliant treatment strategy and tailored site planning.

If you are dealing with suspected **d or need support with a property purchase, development project, or mortgage, our experienced team is ready to help.

We recently inspected a Japanese Knotw**d site in South Wales where new shoots have just started to emerge.

Early spring marks the start of new Japanese Knotw**d growth, with red shoots emerging and turning green as new leaves begin to unfurl. Early stage infestations can still be difficult to identify, particularly where growth is mixed within ivy, scrub, or surrounding vegetation.

Early growth indicates the rhizome system remains active below ground, and planning treatment at the start of the growing season allows the most effective control strategy to be put in place.

Professional inspection at this stage allows infestations to be mapped accurately before dense summer growth develops, ensuring herbicide treatment or excavation works can be carried out safely and in line with current guidance.

From small residential gardens to large commercial sites, every infestation requires a tailored approach. Whether the solution is long-term herbicide treatment or full excavation and removal, we provide compliant management plans suitable for property transactions, development projects, and ongoing site management.

If you are dealing with suspected **d or need support with a property purchase, development project, or mortgage, our experienced team is ready to help.

We recently carried out a winter Japanese Knotw**d survey in South Wales along a river corridor site.

Winter is not always the easiest time to identify smaller or less established infestations, as foliage has died back and surrounding vegetation can obscure early growth. However, in this case the stands were mature and well established, making identification clear even during dormancy.

Riverbank sites across South Wales present particular management challenges. Established **d along watercourses increases the risk of spread downstream, while proximity to buildings, hardstanding and boundaries must be carefully assessed.

Early mapping and professional assessment allow a compliant management strategy to be prepared in advance of the growing season, ensuring treatment can commence at the correct time.

From small back gardens to large development plots, every infestation is unique. Whether it is herbicide treatment or full excavation and removal, we offer a compliant treatment strategy and tailored site planning.

If you are dealing with suspected Japanese Knotw**d or need support with a property purchase, development project, or mortgage, our experienced team is ready to help.
