Testing times today. Called to do a few little electrical jobs in a house. Customer said that electrics should be ok, as...

Testing times today.
Called to do a few little electrical jobs in a house. Customer said that electrics should be ok, as he’s had new consumer unit fitted.
Wanted new socket fitted (tested and connected reverse polarity)
Then to put up some new ceiling lights. Turns out no earthing (CPC), old rubber cables still in use in all the lighting points, crumbling and bare cores at light fixtures. Tested and certified by contractor with no safety issues. Lazy, dangerous, incompetent idiot (being polite)

Mantel boxes. Nuke proof metal. Much hated! 😂. Today’s helper is a cat, no idea what name is but keeps staring at me 😳
