🔥 A service doing exactly what it’s there to do…

During this boiler service I found the AAV was leaking, so rather than leaving it to become a bigger issue, it was replaced while I was there.

The rest of the boiler passed its checks, the injector was cleaned, seals checked and the filter given a clean too. 👍🏼

And you might start spotting our new Home Heat Solutions service reminder stickers 👀 A handy little reminder of when your next boiler service is due.

🔥 Heating problem solved 🔥

Called out to a customer having issues with their heating, and after a bit of fault finding there were a few things contributing to the problem.

The radiator settings were too low, there was an issue with a valve which needed replacing, and I also noticed the tundish dripping on the unvented cylinder.

Valve replaced, unvented system recharged and the heating settings corrected. Everything checked over and back working properly. 👍🏼

Another heating issue diagnosed and sorted in one visit.

Their outside tap had given up, so I popped over, swapped it out and had everything sorted within a few minutes. 👍🏼

Sometimes it’s the little jobs that make the difference.

🔥 Heating fault found & fixed 🔥

Called out to a customer with heating issues and found a few different faults across the system.
Rather than leaving them waiting for multiple visits, I managed to get everything replaced and sorted the same day.

✔️ Faulty 2-port valve for the towel rails
✔️ Faulty synchron motor for the underfloor heating
✔️ Faulty heating circulation pump
✔️ Faulty heating programmer/clock

All replaced, tested and the heating system is back up and running 👍🏼

A good example of why properly diagnosing the system matters. Sometimes it’s not just one fault causing the problem.

Quick Heating Tip 🔥

With the colder weather creeping in, now’s a good time to actually turn your heating on and make sure everything is working properly.
Rather than finding out there’s a problem when you really need it.

Check that:
✔️ All radiators are heating up properly
✔️ Your boiler pressure looks normal
✔️ Your thermostat is responding
✔️ There are no unusual noises or leaks

If something doesn’t seem right, it’s much better to get it looked at before winter really kicks in 👍🏼

🔥 One leak uncovered a few more problems…🔥

Called out to a boiler leaking water. After investigating, I found the left-hand plastic manifold had pinholed and was the source of the leak.

While carrying out the repair and servicing the boiler, a few other issues came to light:

✔️ Pinholed plastic manifold replaced
✔️ Incorrectly fitted clip on the right-hand side adjusted and secured
✔️ Defective electrodes replaced
✔️ Defective burner/bearing plate replaced
✔️ Defective back plate replaced
✔️ Boiler serviced
✔️ Fully tested and left working safely and correctly

What started as a leaking boiler turned into a few faults being caught and sorted before they had the chance to cause further problems.

Another good example of why it pays to properly inspect and service a boiler rather than just fixing the obvious fault 👍🏼

🔥 Old Boiler Still Going Strong 🔥

Called out to service this older Ideal floor-standing boiler. Despite its age, it passed all the required safety checks and is still running well 👍🏼

Work carried out:

✔️ Full boiler service
✔️ Boiler stripped down and thoroughly cleaned
✔️ Burner cleaned and checked
✔️ All safety and combustion checks completed
✔️ Faulty heating clock identified
✔️ New programmer fitted and set up while on site
✔️ Heating and hot water tested and working correctly

As this boiler is getting on in age and replacement parts are becoming very limited, I also provided the customer with a quote for a new boiler. There’s no pressure to replace it while it’s still doing its job, but at least they now know their options and costs for the future.

Another happy customer and an old boiler given a bit more life 🔥👍🏼
