The Rose That Grew From Concrete

Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature’s law is wrong it
learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else ever cared. Tupac Shakur

That’s another week ticked off. Snuck in another job on Monday and stayed on this for four days this week. Today I got the pots on with a lime flaunch. Lime takes some bloody looking after, watered these chimneys more than the plants have gotten this week. Hessians getting left on over the weekend incase you think that’s the finished look. Should make good progress with this next week and get the back side well on.

Well I set my stalls for a day of rain that never materialised. But the plan was to knock these vents up and get the lead prepped for the capping of the copings. With it staying dry I fit the vents and finished off slating the chimneys in and the roof window. Even managed to get the steel strip on ready for the capping tomorrow. This one’s coming along nicely.

MRUK Tools don’t hang about getting their new products out and delivered. Been meaning to make something hang my torch on for a while but never gotten round to it. This fits the bill perfectly.

The weather didn’t give us a break today. Up and down like a yoyo. I managed to get it slated. Just the ridge to bed on, point the ends and run some lead up. Time to enjoy a weekend off now

Almost got the front slated this week but a day of rain slowed me down a little. Still not a bad week, ally gutters fit, one coping covered, detail in the centre and all slated but the final corner. Got some vents to make and get the other coping covered then we’ll make a move one the back.
