With the warmer weather finally upon us naturally the demand for heating/boiler installations drops and gaps in our diary start appearing so now is the perfect time to take advantage and get booked in for some preventative maintenance to avoid being caught out by big bills and boilers breaking down when the cold weather returns

What was supposed to be a simple combi swap seemed to snowball for this customer 🫣, on arrival we found the existing flue to be sited incorrectly over someone else’s property so we bricked up the hole and chose to take the new flue through the roof instead to ensure we were fully compliant,
But it didn’t stop there…. the gas meter enclosure was severely damaged and no longer capable of protecting the meter from the elements and water ingress so after a brief discussion we arranged a return visit to supply and fit them a new one, in the meantime the customer could not believe how much hotter their radiators were getting with the new boiler and they could now tell the difference in some of the rooms that still had the original older style radiators fitted so they opted to have them replaced at the same time with some nice type21s 👌🔥

Conversion to combi and boiler relocation finished off today 🔥🛠️

All redundant tanks/cylinders and pipework removed
Magnacleanse flush was definitely required for this one with the system being as dirty as it was and failing to remove that debris would ultimately shorten the lifespan of the new boiler
Magnetic system filter
Shock arrestor
Esi programmable room thermostat
Old flue hole patched up
Completely new gas supply ran in

With the warmer weather approaching we may not need to rely on our boilers as much but don’t be fooled the temperatures will inevitably drop again, use this time to get prepared to be cozy and warm when the time comes 🥶

Attended this one as customer had just purchased the property and boiler was not working, multiple defects were identified on this shocking install💥 and on this occasion we had no choice but to cap the gas supply and return at a later date with the necessary materials to make the installation safe and compliant, customer then opted to have the boiler serviced and upgrade to a Hive mini Smart thermostat ✅

It’s been a difficult start to the year for us with the engine in the van giving up the ghost 💀 over the Christmas but thanks to a mammoth shift from the lads at Thompa-motorsport we are up and running again better than ever ready to get back to keeping your homes toasty and gas safe 🔥

Honourable mentions go to John Fletcher Ford Parts for supplying the engine, runs sweet as a nut and sounds really healthy 👌💪

And Jed at J.R Plumbing Services for bailing us out and helping us get a few boiler installs over the line that were booked prior to the van dying and then continuing to aid us get out to some emergency calls that came up 🤝
