Crawcrook, Blaydon – Retanol Screeding Complete

A busy Saturday for the team at BKW Screeding Ltd, completing another substantial traditional screeding installation.

This project consisted of 100m² of Retanol BW screed, installed at an average depth of 95mm over underfloor heating.

🔹 100m² at 95mm average depth
🔹 20 tonnes of Retanol BW screed
🔹 Installed over UFH
🔹 Site visit and full floor survey carried out prior to installation
🔹 Five-man team completing the works on a Saturday

Careful planning and accurate surveying beforehand allowed us to establish the required screed quantities and organise an efficient installation.

Gosforth – Rear Extension Screeding Complete

Recent works completed by BKW Screeding Ltd | Floor Screeding Experts on a rear house extension in Gosforth.

The project consisted of 40m² of C20 screed installed over underfloor heating, with the screed wheelbarrowed into the extension and finished by our team.

Garage/Studio Screed Installation Complete

Another quality installation completed by BKW Screeding Ltd for ASJ Construction Ltd Construction

The original specification called for a 150mm–100mm concrete floor, but after discussing the project with the builder, we recommended using Retanol BW C35 semi-dry screed instead.

This provided a more practical solution for accurately forming the required falls while delivering a strong, durable finish.

🔹 Falls formed using string lines from the rear door threshold to the garage front threshold
🔹 DPM installed by the builder prior to screeding
🔹 Ideal solution for a garage/studio floor with varying depths
