This video shows where we are at 5 months into the build.

It’s been a couple of weeks since we shot this and a lot has happened since.

We’ve got scaffolding down, glazing installed, screed is down, carpentry and electrical first fix and more.

We will shoot a reel at the six month mark, and you’ll see what can be achieved within such a short space of time on site with the right team in place.

Tanyard Farm.

Behind every finished project is a story that few people ever get to see.

This farmhouse renovation involved the complete removal of the original thatched roof and historic roof structure, allowing us to carry out extensive structural alterations, install cranked steel frames and construct a new hand-cut roof while carefully retaining the character of the building.

Alongside major remedial stonework, the property underwent significant internal reconfiguration and full renovation to create a home fit for modern living while respecting its heritage.

Projects of this nature require more than construction alone. They demand careful planning, problem solving and an understanding of how historic buildings behave.

A challenging project, but one we’re incredibly proud to have delivered.

Charles is still living in the property while we carry out this major extension and renovation.

Baxter Construction SW Ltd is looking for a motivated trainee labourer to join our team this summer.

This is an ideal opportunity for a school leaver or someone looking to start a career in the construction industry. You’ll gain hands-on experience working on domestic extensions, renovations, and conversions alongside experienced tradespeople.

✅ No experience necessary – just a positive attitude and willingness to learn
✅ Full-time summer position
✅ Hands-on experience across a variety of construction projects
✅ Opportunity to develop practical skills and site knowledge
✅ Potential to progress into a permanent role or apprenticeship for the right candidate

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hard-working, punctual, and keen to learn. A genuine interest in construction and building trades is essential.
