It’s always a real asset having a dog able to catch a lamb gently. Tony is a great dog for this and it’s especially nice seeing his son Foinaven Roy helping in the same way at lambing time.
This lamb had been left behind and needed paired back up with its mother. I’d left my stick on the bike but Roy gently pushes it towards me making it easy to catch.

📢Calling all aspiring Shepherds! 📢

We are on a mission to encourage more young farmers and aspiring shepherds to become active members of our society and, in turn, contribute to the future of sheepdog handling, livestock welfare, and the preservation of our historic society!

- Junior Membership (18 or under on 01 January) is currently only £5.00 annually.

- Young Handler membership (19 to 21 years of age (inclusive) on 01 January) is currently only £20 annually.

This currently gives them the same society membership, access to trialling and breeding as our full membership. We are working hard now the trial season is over to add more value to this membership, so it has never been a more exciting time to join as a young handler!
