Having taken off some honey we've cleaned the wax which was capping the honeycomb. So, we now have 500g blocks of local beeswax available for £10 per block.

This is ideal for making furniture polish, melts, candles, cosmetic and many other uses. It's a little more expensive than bulk pellets but has so much more aroma.

If needed, we can post for the additional postage fee.

So here we are again, and we've just bottled this year's first batch of honey. As usual, we've taken this just after the oiled r**e flowers have finished. So it will be a fast setting pale honey. We've creamed this to keep it spreadable. Personally, I think this also improves both the texture and flavor.

I have been surprised by the prices we've seen some local honey selling for. I think the highest price I've seen so is £8.50 for a 1lb jar. Shop based sales are a different thing.

We're very much in the 'hobby bee keeper' space. We take what the bees can spare without needing us to feed them with sugar syrup to get through the winter, and we then sell any we have beyond our own requirements.

So once again, our honey is available from the door at £5 per 1lb jar. If you are able to return the empty jars we very much appreciate it because these are our main cost. We can reuse the jars but not the lids.
