Behind the hard hats, hi-vis and busy sites are real people 👷♂️, and sometimes the person who looks like they’re coping the best may be the one who is struggling the most.
The construction industry is known for being tough - long hours, deadline pressures, financial worries, working away from home and the expectation to just 'get on with it'. But being strong doesn’t mean keeping everything to yourself.
At R.A.B Electrical, we want to change the narrative around mental health within our industry. We want to create an environment where our staff know they can speak openly, without judgement, and where asking “Are you okay?” is normal.
And it doesn’t stop with our own team - whether it’s a colleague, a customer, a subcontractor, a friend, a family member, or simply someone we happen to meet - we want to be the people who take the time to listen.
You never know what someone might be carrying behind the scenes, and a simple conversation could mean more than you realise.
