Before you hire a local plumber or electrician, there is something important you need to know...

Believe it or not, 9 out of 10 general tradespeople are NOT actually qualified to fully install a split-system air conditioner.

Air conditioning units use special refrigerant gases. To handle them safely, engineers must hold a specific F-Gas or REFCOM certification. Without it, the installation isn't just risky—it is actually illegal!!

ANOTHER HEATWAVE IS FORECAST!!! 🥵 DONT DELAY - CONTACT US TODAY!!

If you've struggled with the extreme heat this last week and considering Air-con ❄, please don't leave it till the last minute!! We've been inundated with bookings and although our suppliers have plenty of units in stock, it takes more than just a few minutes to install.

Here are the 6 Stages of whats involved in installing a domestic system:

STAGE 1 - Site Survey & Quote:
Our F -Gas installer visits to evaluate your room size (to determine the necessary BTU capacity), choose the best locations for the units, and provide a fixed quote.

STAGE 2- Mounting the Indoor Unit:
A metal mounting plate is firmly fixed to an interior wall (usually high up for airflow). The unit is then clipped in, leaving space around it for circulation (Don't worry, all our work is neat and tidy so they'll be no mess! )

STAGE 3- Positioning the Outdoor Unit:
The condenser is placed outside on the ground or securely bracketed to an exterior wall, ensuring it has adequate airflow.

STAGE 4- Running the Pipework:
A small circular hole is drilled through the wall to connect the inside and outside. Copper refrigerant lines, electrical cables, and a condensate drain pipe are passed through this hole.

STAGE 5 - Electricals & Commissioning:
The system is wired to your mains supply by a qualified electrical engineer and the refrigerant lines are vacuum-tested for leaks. Once sealed, the system is charged and tested for heating and cooling efficiency.

STAGE 6 - Handover:
The engineer cleans up, registers your warranty, and shows you how to use the controller/app and clean the filters.

The entire process for a standard single-room split system usually takes an engineer about half a day to a full day to complete!!
