🔹Despite being banned in 1999, an estimated 300,000 non-domestic buildings still contain asbestos

🔹Over 5,000 deaths per year are attributed to asbestos-related diseases such as lung cancer, mesothelioma, and asbestosis.

🔹In 2022 (the latest available figures), there were 2,257 recorded deaths from mesothelioma alone.
