One month today this one! If all goes according to plan we're going to have a big old pitch at this with new and used stock 🙌

Feels mad that this is just one month away today! But that it is 🙌

11am-4pm at Kidderminster Town Hall , traders from all over the place with records, CDs and more!

Excellent onsite cafe and bar available and plenty of space to take a load off and chat through your haul!

Pitches are nearly all gone but we do have capacity to squeeze a couple more in for the right traders.

Let's pack a few orders from today in some sort of immersive ASMR stylee. Never mind all the glitzy "this is how cool it is working a record shop" vids, this is the nitty gritty, the coal face. Making friends with cardboard and sticky tape and papercuts, fixing jammed label machines and hunting for lost pens. Some nice spoils in this batch though - off to good homes I'm sure ✌🏻✊🏻

📣 Good news! We will be back at, erm, our own shop on Saturday 17th October for the day. While we continue to work on future dates for 'pop-up' events for 2026 and 2027, it makes sense for us to use our existing real estate while we still have the lease for a bit.

We're going to have a big old selection of both new and used vinyl and CDs. 11am - 4pm.

Thanks for coming down to the first New Music Club last night – it was a blast!

The Tubs - 'Hard Life': Jangly indie from one of our favourites with plenty of throw-back references like The Jam being tossed around

Wishy - 'Nature's Pill': Nostalgic heartbreak indie-rock with notes of shoegaze and occasional pop-punk

Ghost Dubs - 'Oblique': May have gotten lost in the room last night given its low-key minimalist dub-techno nature, but those who picked up on this really loved it - me included

Leon Bridges - 'Happiness Anytime': Another no-miss soul-funk gem from Leon

Gurriers - 'Nobody's Coming To Save You': On the coattails of Fontaines? Unintentionally perhaps but a very well-received album in its own right

Beabadoobee - 'Pylon': Hazy bedroom indie-rock from the still surprisingly unknown among our ranks Beabadoobee

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - 'Alien Metal': An entirely new direction into old skool dance for the prolific former psych-heads

Gilla Band - 'Pugnello': Abrasive and hard-working end of the night stuff from Gilla Band.

Dummy - "Full Spectrum Dominance" - Textural shoegazey indie on the LA band's new album 'do you love the color of the sky?', out on Oct 16th

Fontaines D.C. - "Tongue" - The final taster of the brand-new Fontaines album, out on Oct 16th

Michael Nau - "New Slack" - Psychy-folk songwriter in the vein of Kevin Morby, Andy Sahauf, Damien Jurado – new album due Oct 23rd

Gans – "MY GOD IS A STRANGER" - The lead single off the upcoming second album from Stourbridge's own Gans – we've a bit of a wait on that – due February

Warhaus - "The Baby" - From the new solo album from former Balthazar frontman, this is one of my favourite tracks of 2026. Album due January.

Moses Boyd - "Criticise" - Slightly less jazzy from previous outings, this is from the upcoming (Oct 30th) album from Moses

Queens of the Stone Age - "Where The Goth Girls At?" - Not much intro needed here – the new track from the upcoming new QOTSA album 'Perfecth', due end of the month

🔉 A reminder that we're at the Hop Vault on Monday, between 6 and 9, playing choice cuts from various new releases and good things to come and generally having a natter and a catch-up.

Will also have a couple of boxes of latest releases and latest back in stock records on hand. Being a new music event this is new vinyl only, no second hand for this one 👍

Join us on Monday 5th October for the very first New Music Club at The Hop Vault

Between 6pm – 9pm we’ll be spinning tracks from the freshest albums across a casual, laid-back few hours.

A mostly-vinyl affair, it’s a great chance to catch-up, socialise and - with a bit of luck - discover one or two new records to love.

We’ll have a couple boxes of records on hand and can take pre-orders on the night too, though I don’t want to start sounding like this is a money-grab!

The Hop Vault will of course have gallons of the good stuff for you to sample, as well as coffee, zero beers and soft drinks for those who apparently think drinking on a Monday might be weird?!
You won’t be turned away if you’re not there at 6 - turn up and tune-in whenever you like 🎧

In the realm of the reissue, we've had some great titles announced this week from the likes of Sebadoh, Ella Langley, Motorhead, Michael Jackson (Invincible), Boards Of Canada, Sam Fender and more.

💪🏻 YAS!! We will of course be here and by this point with quite a large pitch I imagine! We'll have a nice split of new and used vinyl, probably a good few boxes of quality CDs too.

⚡ We've teased it long enough! Announcing our brand new event - the Kidderminster Record Fair. The good people of Kiddy (and surrounding areas) have been without a record fair for too long and on Sunday 8th November we're bringing it to you 🙌

Open 11am-4pm at the wonderfully done-up Kidderminster Town Hall , there will be 35+ tables of records, CDs and more. There is a bar on site as well as the excellent Courtyard Cafe.

For something a little different, we're hoping to have some live artists playing throughout this one - stay tuned for more info on that as it happens.

As always, we love to collaborate and this one is no different. This here is merely a placeholder poster. The real one is being designed as we speak by the talented students of Kidderminster College art and design department! Can't wait to see what they come up with.
