Today’s job was to fit a bespoke built in bench I’ve been working on.

Made with MDF - made a shaker style front panel and a piano hinged split top.

Frame made with pine CLS.

Finished in Pebble Grey Shabby Chic chalk paint (2 coats of undercoat and 2 coats of top coat).

Customer very happy with the finished unit.

I’ve been working on and off this summer room for quite a while. Last few days I’ve been making (yes no engineered oak flooring here!) oak floor boards of random widths and routing in the tongue and groove. Fitting them as a floating floor. And made a start on a waney edge window sill. Needs final fitting levelling and then glueing in place. Nice to do a properly bespoke job!

Little project this afternoon to make a couple of prototypes for a school.

I’m due to work with some school children to make bug hotels 🐞 🕷️🪲🐜🐛and bee-floats 🐝🐝 (I had to look that one up!)…

Now to figure out how to get the kids to make them withouse losing any digits 🖐️🩹🤕
