Some recent work completed in Chapelton and Macduff. Today was a hot one in Macduff 🥵 I’ll not moan though as I sit here looking like a drumstick squashy!! Better that than a drowned rat 💦 🐀

The work in Chapelton was to allow better utilisation of awkward sloping spaces. The area will have a log-store positioned 🪵 and used to store wheelie bins which I’m told are partial to blowing around which I can quite believe in Chapelton 🌬️ 💨

Macduff was replacement of timber hand rails that had rotten and no longer fit for purpose. Was fine to get a news with the residents and listen to stories of their working life’s whilst they enjoyed the sun ☀️ 👌 the oldest resident approaching 104!!! 😳 👏

Does a day ever go as planned??? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Had to put MAN 24Mobile Service to test tonight…and I must say what a service MAN Truck & Bus provide!! Service as it should be!! 👏

After returning to my van tonight it wouldn’t unlock 🔓
Replaced the fob battery, tried the manual key but nothing 🤷🏼‍♂️ 🤬
Was kindly given a lift home so I could scoff my already cold tea 🍜 and get my spare key to try. Thankfully it worked so I could get my van home. 😮‍💨

Was half expecting to be told by Mobile24 to just take it to local depot for it to be sorted and loose half a day in the process but no…. Not an hour later was a tech at the door to reprogram the key and was more than helpful. A minor/low priority issue but backed up with a great service!! 👌 🔧

What is it Luke Combs sings about?? When it rains it pours?? 🌧️🌧️

Installing and a concrete pad for a log cabin to provide a business space for this customer came with a few challenges.
The way ground levels were meant excavating and retaining sleepers were required before we could even think about the base. Some tough digging for the post holes in some not so great weather. 🌧️ 🪏

Today was by far the most stressful though as what started as a cracking morning for a concrete pour ended up in torrential rain with some heavy downpours! Thankfully the tarpaulins did the job and after returning this evening I’ll now sleep better! 😴

Thanks to JKR Contractors and Michael A. for a spot on service today 👌

Today marks the milestone of 6 years since HM Tree & Landscapes Ltd turned from a business plan to what it is today.
Nothing like a “how it started” to “how it’s going” photo to reflect and take it all in! Thanks to AI it saved me some time that I don’t have to pull a photo together 🤣📸

I am proud of where the business is currently at and all that’s been achieved along the way but humble enough to know what it has taken to get there and so the effort glories on! 🫡

They say 50% of small businesses fail in the first 5 years so I held of until my 6th year before posting just to be sure 🤷🏼‍♂️😂 In all seriousness I can see how that can happen, so I guess on that there should be some sort of celebration! 🎉

But instead of just celebrating my business I’d like to celebrate every other small business owner who’s out there in the rat race striving to be something better than they were yesterday. 💪

Thank you to those closest to me, I’m sure you’re sick of hearing my “hardships”
but continue to stick by me through the good times and the tougher times 🫵

And finally my customers and followers be it past, present or future who continue to support HM Tree & Landscapes Ltd! It means more than you’ll ever know. 🙏🏻

When I mentioned dragging this one out on my stories I wasn’t joking 🙃😋 😂 between home made soup, lemon drizzle and even some birthday cake it was finally time to call it a day on the is job. 🍲 🧁 🎂 ☕️ 😎

Jokes aside this job had a few more material delays than I would have hoped for….however, I hope the end result has been worth the wait for the customer 🤩👌

With stunning surroundings this sizeable decking area will offer many a chance to relax and enjoy the views and most definitely catch a ray or two ☀️ ⛰️ 🌅

Picture framed and centre split board with contrasting slate/granite composite, finished with stainless steel balustrade posts/smoked glass and led up lights adds all the finishing touches to compliment not only the decking area but also the property itself 💡🔥 🏠

A pleasure as always and on to the next one! 💪

What a day to get this job finished and just in time for family visiting from 🇦🇺 (and the rain tomorrow morning 🌧️)

Plenty barrowing in and out on this with around 30tonnes of materials shifted in total. I always take two barrows to a job, I don’t really know why as I can only work one at a time unfortunately 🤣

We’ve now left the customer with modern low maintenance garden that can be enjoyed for years to come.

With a spacious patio and path to the summer house using Marshall’s urbex paving and course you need some green in a garden so there’s a manageable size lawn area 🌱, the remaining areas finished with black ice decorative chuckies. ⚫️🧊

Needless to say a happy customer!! 😃
