Behind the scenes at the nursery, there’s always a little bit of DIY required. Today, Jeff is hard at work giving our trusty old compost mixer some much-needed TLC. It’s a vintage piece of kit, but when it’s running, it’s the heart of our potting operation.

We’ve even got our secret "Potting" recipe written right on the side of the machine so we never lose track of our perfect mix!

We’re keeping a close watch to make sure Jeff doesn't electrocute himself while he’s tinkering with the wiring, fingers crossed for a smooth repair! Once this is back up and running, we’ll be ready to get potting again in no time.

We are thrilled to introduce the newest member of our herb family: "Kitten" Thyme! Keep an eye out for these as they grow; they should be ready for their new homes in 6 weeks!

Like a chip off the old block, these little ones will eventually form a delightful, dense, rounded mound, featuring small, oval leaves that transition from a soft greyish-green to a lovely purple hue as they mature. It is the perfect choice for cat lovers! Cats, as the name suggests, absolutely love this thyme; some even prefer it to Catnip!

Just as we were getting used to the sunshine, the classic UK rain has made its return to the nursery. While it’s certainly keeping us on our toes and making the ground a bit muddy for our wellies, we know the garden is appreciating the drink. There is something uniquely calming about the sound of rain drumming on the polytunnel roof while we tend to our herbs inside.
