When you take on apprentices, you’re always waiting for that moment. The switch.

The point where something clicks, confidence lands, and they start realising their own potential.

For Jacob Maskrey, AKA Slim Shady, I think we can say that switch has well and truly flicked.

Jacob stepped up massively - completing his first solo job, supporting one of our clients for six weeks, and earning brilliant feedback from their MD on his attitude, curiosity, and intellect. That’s why he’s taken home November’s Employee of the Month.

Anyone who’s worked with apprentices knows the journey isn’t always linear… but when you see them level up like this, it’s special. Some find it early, some later, and some never do. In Jacob’s case, the progress is entirely down to him.

And if you’ve met him, you’ll know he brings the jokes, the energy, and the vibe that makes the tough days easier for everyone.

Project Commencement 👷

First day on site at Severnside Energy Recovery Centre in Bristol. Walking the route, meeting the teams, and preparing to integrate containment with the new walkway system and install control + power cabling.

Getting started is all about alignment… safety, clarity and ownership of responsibilities. The team here is switched on and ready to deliver 👊

Another step forward as we go deeper into the energy and resources sector. Each new site teaches us something, let's see where this one takes us.
