I am using my Japanese calligraphy pen today, which I use all the time for urban sketching but rarely use it on finished pieces due to it's unpredictable nature.

I have been combining business with pleasure this week. A bit of Urban Sketching following a meeting in Uttoxeter.

It is my passion to capture these quirky little shops before they disappear forever. This looks like it was someone else's passion for decades before the doors were closed for the final time.

Like so many shops in the current climate, it will soon be something else, but it is captured forever in my sketchbook.

My good friend has just sent these photos over, a surprise for a special birthday.

Oscar (Ozzy) was much loved and has sadly passed. She said it brought a tear to her eye when she saw the painting.

I can think of no bigger compliment than affecting someone on an emotional level with my art.

I am delighted to share Willow with you. She was commissioned by a dear friend. I've had to keep it under wraps as it was a gift and I am pleased to say that her daughter was delighted with it.

She has sent me a picture of it framed, and she now has pride of place in her new home.

It's late in the day for me to post, but relaxing with a glass of wine 🍷 after a hectic day.

The first Hedgehogs of Waterhayes Rescue family fun day was a raging success.

All the stall holders did really well and there was plenty to see and do.

Over a £1000 was raised 👏 👏

I sold lots of paintings and got some fabulous comments.

Thank you Kirsty Chell for organising.
