If you're from Stoke-on-Trent, you've probably heard of The Beth Johnson Foundation. And if you haven't, there's a good chance they've helped someone you know.
For 54 years, they've been supporting older people across our community through loneliness, bereavement, dementia and isolation - helping people stay connected, independent and supported when they need it most. Now they need us.
Following the loss of vital funding, BJF is facing the very real possibility of closure.
As soon as we heard, there was never really a question about what we'd do next. We rolled up our sleeves.
Since then, the team has committed more than 50 hours every month - completely free of charge - to help keep this incredible charity going. We're writing press releases, organising radio interviews, supporting fundraising, creating campaign content, helping spread awareness and doing everything we can behind the scenes.
But this campaign needs more than one agency. It needs a community.
