Always, always & a little more always plenty to be getting on with here

Substantial 2 acre garden, weekly visits, distracted by other things that needed doing, now catch up with the strimming to this sloped area and under the apple trees.

Got a lot more done than this.

Another one bites the dust.

Shallow rooted and the blistering summer finished off a lot of mature specimens.

Brought down, off to the chipper and the area underneath it cleared of ivy.

Gooseberry bush tangle.

In Uttoxeter 1st thing for a weekly customer.

Started out seeding a prepped area of soil, got the rake on a sunken patch of lawn, full of thatch, then seeded and onto this section.

Straight through it with the hedge trimmer showed 2 main bushes with lots of smaller sections that had come off the spreading roots.

Dug out the smaller pieces, left these 2, area to be rotovated next week, then seeded.

This is a massive gain of garden, through a contractor working on a drainage soakaway, trees cut back and my small part.

There's a gain of about 8 metres to the orchard area.

Willow hedge reduction.

At Roston for this one.

The cutting was the easy bit.

The getting it to the van was harder.

In the van was even harder.

Shutting the van doors, it wasn't having it. Got the 2nd door closed but light on the dash, rear door open!

All sitting outside my unit, waiting to be chipped and then back to the customer.

More to do next visit.

It would have been so easy...

To leave the membrane where it was, give it a light dig over, throw a load of soil on top of a half weeded job and seeded it but that's not the standard.

Gardening done properly.

The cat was no help at all. 😃

Nothing here....

6 weeks ago.

This is in a very large garden.

The water feature I built and there was empty space around it.

So a raised bed to the right, with Beech tree slab stepping stones and then added to on the left to finish the area off.

Separated Crocosmia, from 2 plants, to make 6 or 7, Heuchera in there, some Lavender & added ferns from the garden.

The Rubrum/Purple Fountain grass looks phenomenal at the head of the water feature.

Probably about 10 metres of additions fitting perfectly into the garden.

Rosebay Willowherb jungle.

This stuff is tough!

Put the metal blade on and another part of the woodland garden cleared.

Look at the colour of those clouds!

These lawns were wet.

It also rained more than once while cutting them.

The mower, a Toro Recycler was further down the drive.

High cut to keep on top of the growth.

Looking well, despite the dry spell.
