Last year we completed a heating and hot water upgrade, replacing a 30-year-old Heat only boiler and an outdated gravity-fed hot water cylinder.

The customer opted for a Worcester Bosch RI boiler, supplied and installed with a 10 year manufacturer’s warranty, along with a high-performance unvented hot water cylinder with a 25 year manufacturer’s warranty. This setup now delivers a constant 16 litres per minute to all three bathrooms simultaneously, ensuring strong, reliable hot water throughout the property.

As part of the works, we removed the old balanced flue boiler and made good by bricking up the flue internally and externally, leaving a clean and professional finish.

For modern, efficient control, we installed a Hive Smart Heating and Hot Water system, allowing full remote control via smartphone. In addition, a separate Hive controller was fitted to independently to manage the ground floor underfloor heating, giving the homeowner greater comfort and energy efficiency.

This upgrade has transformed the home’s heating performance, reliability, and ease of use, bringing it fully up to modern standards.
