🎉 A brilliant achievement for our very own Jasmine Wood!

A huge congratulations to Jasmine on completing her NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, having successfully passed both GNC1 and GNC2.

Building on the practical experience she already brings to her role, the qualification has given Jasmine the opportunity to deepen her understanding of health and safety and strengthen the knowledge she applies across the business.

Jasmine said:
“A lot of the course directly relates to the work I already do, so it’s been really valuable to build on my practical experience and strengthen my knowledge. I’m looking forward to continuing to learn, develop and build on this further in the future!”

⛳ Last week, Jim Glasscock, Branch Manager at Benx Hub Basildon, stepped away from the trade counter and onto the fairway to support a fantastic cause.

Taking part in a charity golf day in aid of St. Luke's Hospice, Basildon, the event helped raise more than £1,200 to support the incredible work they do within the local community.

A big thank you to everyone involved for making the day such a success. It's always great to see people coming together to support such an important cause 💙

Site Insight: Portland Terrace, Hurlford

Retrofit is at its best when it improves performance without erasing character.

At Portland Terrace in Hurlford, East Ayrshire Council required a façade solution that could upgrade an ageing group of bungalows while preserving its familiar timber clad appearance within the street.

Benx’s Supertech Weatherboard in Jet Black was selected to provide a timber effect finish, supported by the reassurance of an A1 rated, non-combustible fibre cement cladding system.

Installed by McConnell Ltd, the project involved stripping the original cladding back to the timber superstructure before introducing new insulation, Y-Wall sheathing boards, breather membrane, battens with cavity barriers and the final Supertech boards.

The result is a safer, warmer and more durable external envelope, delivered in a way that respects both the property and the residents.
