🚧 The job no one wanted vs. the job everyone wants! 🛠️✨

Not every bathroom job is glamorous, but the finished result makes all the hard work worthwhile!

This one needed a bit of extra preparation to get everything right, with tight and awkward access making the work even more challenging:

🔨 Back to brick – stripping everything back to a solid starting point.
📏 Floor levelled – creating a proper, level base ready for the new finish.
💧 Tile backer boards installed – added as a precaution due to the damp conditions in the room.
🔧 Radiator repositioned slightly – allowing better access to the valves.
📦 Stop tap boxed in – with a fully removable box, keeping it accessible for future maintenance.

It's the work you don't always see that makes the biggest difference to the finished job. Proper preparation, practical solutions and attention to detail from start to finish. 👌

Following on from the bathroom refresh we completed last week, we’ve now given the ensuite a full makeover too. 🚿

🔨 Damaged floorboard removed and replaced
🪵 New ply lining ready for the finish
✨ New LVT flooring fitted
🚿 Low-level 1200 × 800 shower tray with sliding shower door
🤍 Shower wall panels to match the main bathroom
🚽 Toilet and shower refitted
🗄️ New basin unit with plenty of storage
🪞 Mirrored storage added for even more practicality

A much cleaner, more modern space with loads more storage and a low-level, easy-access shower — all while keeping the style consistent with the new bathroom.

Alton: The whirlpool bath and surround were removed to make way for a huge 900 × 1700 shower tray and a traditional-style shower. Contrasting floor tiles were used to bring the room together, including areas where the original tiles were broken or missing.

Forsbrook: A new 800 × 1700 bath gives everyone plenty of room for a splash! The radiator was relocated and the toilet moved over to create a more spacious, practical layout.

Cheadle: The bath was becoming a bit of a struggle to get in and out of, so we changed the layout to create a simple, spacious showering solution. The new tray and open layout make it easier to use, easier to clean, and much more practical for everyday life.

Sank the waste pipe into the floor to allow the anti slip tray to sit as low as possible, future proof ✔️
Chased the water pipe into the wall for a better finish, standard ✔️
Travertine panels match in nicely for minimal disruption.
New toilet installed 🚽

Worktops, Cheadle -
Free standing oven removed, new oven housing installed.
Units reconfigured to allow for a larger sink.
Dishwasher brought forward so that the worktop runs continuously, previously had a step back.
New storage with left over worktop.
New base and wall unit added.
