North Yorkshire

This Gothic Fireplace, made with Portland Stone with honed slate hearth, was designed for a hall refurbishment in North Yorkshire which was under complete refurbishment - the original fireplaces had long since been removed.

We designed the fireplace to be sympathetic with the original building and its architecture. The external chimneys, provided inspiration for the LH and RH jambs.

There are pieces of furniture that serve a purpose and there are pieces that change the character of a room.

Our marble cabinet belongs in the latter category as the scale, solidity and visual character gives the cabinet an immediate presence.

Created from a single solid block of Italian Arabescato marble, this unique piece of hand-carved marble furniture represents a rare meeting of material, craftsmanship and artistic vision.

Now on permanent display at the Chelsea Harbour Design Emporium Collective.
