What a week! This was a real tricky one so thought we'd share our pain:
Chimney and purlins deemed unsafe so chimney taken down to safe height in loft, then rebuilt to top. 2 x 5m steels and a 4m steel fitted into loft (craned in through top window); wooden posts bolted to support purlins off steel. Plus 8 roof straps fitted to gables for extra support...phew! It was challenging 😳
