Last year, Rhys Bennett brought home Scaffold Apprentice of the Year at the NASC Awards 🏆

It was a huge achievement, and a proud moment not just for Rhys, but for everyone at JMAC who's watched him progress throughout his apprenticeship.

Since then, Rhys has gone from strength to strength and is now working as a basic scaffolder out on our sites, putting everything he learned as an apprentice into practice day in, day out.

His journey is exactly what we hope for when we bring someone into the business - not just training people up, but giving them a genuine pathway to build a career in this industry.

That's always been at the heart of how we operate at JMAC. We invest in our people, back them from day one, and take real pride in seeing them develop.

As we look ahead to this year's Scaffolding Excellence Awards, Rhys's story is a good reminder of what these moments are really about – recognising the next generation of talent and everything they've achieved.

Forth Rail Bridge, a project worth celebrating 🧡

Here at JMAC Industrial & Access, we're incredibly proud of the Forth Rail Bridge project, and to be shortlisted for Project of the Year (Small) is a huge recognition of the work that's gone into it.

The Forth Rail Bridge is one of the UK's most well-recognised infrastructure landmarks, connecting Fife and Edinburgh across the Firth of Forth.

For this project, we were instructed by Balfour Beatty, working alongside designers RDG, on a Rail PTS design scheme to deliver safe, innovative access solutions.

Phase One has since been delivered on programme, with zero accidents or incidents, and strong feedback from both the client and design team throughout ✅

Particular recognition goes to Chris McCarthy and Karl Venus for their supervision and management of a high-profile scheme, and to the wider scaffolding team for their commitment.

We couldn't be prouder of the work behind it!

Investing in our fleet, supporting our projects ✅

At JMAC, investing in our fleet is an important part of keeping our operations moving.

For our transport team, having modern, reliable vehicles means they can get the right equipment to site safely and efficiently, while helping us continue to provide a dependable service to our customers.

We’ve recently invested in five Mercedes Actros 2530 L 6x2 dropside vehicles, which have been purchased to support our work across the industrial and access departments across the UK.

This investment will help us:

👉🏼 Support our site teams with reliable transport
👉🏼 Efficiently transport equipment between locations
👉🏼 Ensure our customers receive what they need, when they need it
👉🏼 Continue investing in the infrastructure that supports our growing operations
