You must get a qualified Energy Assessor such as us, to survey your property and produce the EPC. Getting an Energy Performance Certificate could also help you identify ways to save money on your energy bills and improve the comfort of your property. An Energy Performance Certificate has an easy to read multi coloured energy chart similar to those that are on new domestic appliances, such as fridges. They show you how energy efficient a property/building is and it has a rating from A (very efficient) to G (inefficient). EPC's also show you how costly it will be to heat and light your property, and what it's carbon dioxide emissions are likely to be. The EPC will also show what the energy-efficiency rating could be, if improvements are made and it highlights the cost-effective ways to achieve a better rating. Whether you rent or own your home/property, some improvements shown on the EPC may be worth implementing, such as installing an energy efficient boiler or switching to energy-efficient light bulbs, as it will save you money on your energy bills.
