Exterior job from a few weeks ago whilst it was still nice, sunny and warm.

Front entrance gate badly in need of repair as it was unusable on this property in Norton.

New 6x6 treated posts were installed and having to go to what was there already, notching around uneven brickwork, and meeting metal railings this took a lot longer than expected.

Solid softwood gate which was chosen by the customer with black hardware makes this property now visibly more attractive and welcoming.

Posts finished off with bespoke solid oak caps.

Fully finished oak doors fitted throughout this property.

Customer purchased everything so it was just a case of turn up and crack on!

Fantastic upgrade with the choice of fully finish on doors which are the way to go. Worth paying the extra.

Staircase upgrade.

Definitely required on this one as the existing balustrade was partially removed for plastering works but also to meet required heights for safety as this customer is expecting their first child.

The original blocked off balustrade totally removed along with newels, small stringer section and some of treads and risers.

All new solid hemlock stair parts used. Everything back to as it should be (although for now missing cap for underside of newel through the ceiling)

Simple square design for the spindles and newels plus a flat cap added.

Under stairs storage also done on this one with push to open doors and a drawer.

This will look beautiful once finished.

Exterior wooden sill repair in Hartburn.

Photos show before and after on this property.

The sill was badly rotten in sections so the whole thing was cut out and removed.

Installation of new sill along with cleaning off window beading as paint for flaking away.

This customer was a 98 year old lady and the mother of a previous customer.

So given that I gladly put two coats of primer on ready for the son to do the final coat.

Job finished off this morning in Ingelby Barwick.

Laminated grey doors supplied by the customer with Matt black furniture.

Out with the old in with the new.

Really old outhouse frames and doors replaced.

Not that anything of value is to be housed inside but these definitely needed upgrading.

Slim ledge and braced doors were replaced with thicker stringer framed ledge and brace ones.

Another Sunday funday. (In the sun all day 🥵)

This was a replacement of a rotten frame and door.

Photos only show the final result and it looks fantastic.

What’s fitted is a hardwood frame with weather strips installed.
A solid hardwood cottage style door.
British standard 5 lever lock for security.
Low line threshold for an all round water tight seal.
Sealed and finished with a brown mastic to blend in with the brickwork.

Job done!
