These photos are a perfect example of why regular roof inspections and maintenance are so important on commercial and industrial buildings.
During our inspection of this metal sheet roof, we discovered a significant hole through one of the roof sheets, along with areas of corrosion, deterioration around previous fixings and signs of ageing across the sheet laps.
Left unattended, even a relatively small defect like this can allow a considerable amount of water into a building during heavy rain. Over time, that can lead to damaged insulation, ceilings, electrics and stock below — turning a small roof repair into a much bigger problem.
🔧 WHAT WE FOUND & WHAT WE DID
Our team accessed the roof safely using the correct access equipment and located the defective area.
✅ Identified the hole and surrounding deterioration
✅ Checked the immediate surrounding roof sheet
✅ Cleaned and prepared the affected area
✅ Installed a reinforced patch over the damaged section
✅ Fully sealed the repair to create a weatherproof finish
✅ Inspected the surrounding laps, fixings and obvious vulnerable areas
✅ Photographed the defect before, during and after the repair
The pictures show exactly what we found — no hiding problems and no unnecessary work.
Where a localised repair can safely extend the serviceable life of a commercial roof, we’ll repair it. Where a roof has reached the stage where repairs are no longer economical, we’ll explain the options clearly.
