Reports of wasps finding their way into a bathroom , the cause was found to be a nest in the extractor fan piping.
The nest was treated with a knockdown aerosol spray which kills all the wasps instantly, so the pipe and nest can be cut away and removed just leaving for a replacement pipe to be fitted.

A recent inspection on a commercial premises bin stores, rats have created burrows under a wall from a neighbouring property to access the waste bins via the missing rubber drain plug which had probably been chewed through in the first place by the rats in their quest for food.

We were asked to come up with a solution to solve the reoccurring infestations, the basic idea was to cut of the food supply for the rats by fixing steel covers to the bins drain holes. To back this up we have placed rat baits in the burrows and surrounded the site with locked bait stations containing more rat baits.

This is the 1st time we have tried this type of steel cover and it wil be interesting to see if it has improvement on the old rubber format.

Its sad to say a dog found out about this wasp nest the hard way apparently getting stung numerous times. The nest was a couple of feet of the ground hidden in a bush.
The nest was treated with a knock down spray before being completely removed, ensuring no nest and no pesticides were left behind to further harm the dog.

If you have a rodent problem we always start each job with an inspection survey this not only tells us the type of pest we are dealing with but also possible entry points .
The brief on this job was scratching noises under the lounge floor at the rear of the property.
A full investigation led to the garage at the front of the house a large gap under the garage door followed by rat droppings in a corner and a hole in the brick work allowing rats into the wall cavity and then under the floor.
The plan of attack was to set traps in the garage hopefully cutting the rsts of on route either into or out of the property once we are happy the infestation is clear the garage door will be sealed and the brickwork made good .
