Another project completed in Kings Park, Stirling

We’ve just completed the restoration of this traditional stone boundary wall, bringing the masonry back to life while retaining its original character.

The work involved:
• Carefully removing all defective mortar
• Filling missing holes and sections with stone
• Repointing the wall using premixed lime mortar

A huge transformation from the original condition, and another wall ready to stand strong for many years to come.

Kings Park Restoration Update 🏡🪨

A great start to this restoration project in Kings Park, Stirling.

The defective mortar has now all been cut out, and the stonework has had a gentle wash to remove the algae and greenery.

Next up, we’ll be getting stuck into the repointing using a carefully colour-matched lime mortar, working up to the lintel level of the converted flat.

It’s already making a difference, and we’re looking forward to seeing this 19th-century property transformed while keeping its original character intact. 🔨💪

New Project Day!

We’re kicking off another restoration project in the beautiful Kings Park area of Stirling!

This 19th-century stone property is getting some much-needed TLC.

🔨 Removing defective mortar & paint
🏡 Carefully restoring the original stonework
🪨 Repointing with a colour-matched lime mortar
📍 Working up to the lintel level of the converted flat

It’s always great to work on historic properties and help bring them back to their former glory while keeping their original character intact.

Project Complete

Another project successfully completed for a valued returning client and another façade brought back to the standard it deserves.

This project involved the complete removal of 100% of the defective mortar from the front elevation, followed by the careful repointing of the entire façade using traditional lime mortar.

From start to finish, every bed and joint was thoroughly raked out, correctly prepared and repointed with the care and attention required for quality conservation work. Using lime mortar not only complements the character of the building, but also allows the masonry to breathe while providing long-term protection.

We’ve recently completed the full repointing of this beautiful traditional farmhouse, restoring both gable ends and the front elevation using time-tested techniques and high-quality lime mortar.

Every bed and joint was carefully raked out by hand, removing all defective mortar before repointing with a custom salmon colour-matched lime mix, ensuring the new mortar complements the original masonry perfectly.

By using breathable lime mortar, we’ve helped protect the building from future moisture issues while preserving its character and historic charm.

A restoration carried out with care, precision, and respect for the original craftsmanship.

New week. New project. Another valued returning client.

There’s no better way to start the week than getting back on site for a client who trusts us to deliver the highest standard of workmanship.

One more milestone reached on this beautiful old farmhouse restoration.

One gable end is now complete after the careful removal of all defective pointing and repointing with a pre-mixed salmon-coloured lime mortar, exactly as specified by the client.

Using the right materials is essential when restoring historic buildings. Lime mortar allows the stonework to breathe while preserving the character and integrity of the property for years to come.

It’s always rewarding to see traditional craftsmanship bringing these old buildings back to life. Looking forward to sharing more progress as the restoration continues.

Project update on our old farm house restoration project.

With nearly all of the defective mortar now removed, the building is almost ready for the repointing phase using a bespoke, colour-matched lime mortar, mixed to the client’s exact specifications.

Careful preparation is the foundation of a lasting restoration, ensuring the new mortar performs as intended while preserving the character and integrity of this beautiful farmhouse.

A new project is underway for Central Masonry Services Ltd.

We’re carrying out a full repointing of this beautiful old farmhouse, carefully removing 100% of the old, defective mortar before replacing it with a colour-matched lime mortar, mixed to the client’s exact specifications.

Using traditional materials and techniques, this restoration will protect the masonry, improve breathability, and preserve the character of the building for many years to come.

Cement out. Lime in. The transformation continues.

We’re pleased to share an update on another restoration project.

All of the cement mortar has now been successfully removed, and the front elevation has been fully repointed and completed using traditional lime mortar. The difference is already clear, allowing the building to breathe as it was originally intended.

Work now continues on the gable end, where we’ll remove the remaining cement mortar before carefully repointing with the same traditional lime mortar.

No cosmetic fixes. No compromises. Just the right materials, the right methods, attention to detail, and the commitment every period property deserves.

We’ll continue to share progress as this restoration moves forward.
